The Inex (pronounced eye-nex) model name is the short version of INternal-EXpedition.  This pack is for really big people or really big loads!

The INEX was our single original first production pack back in 1978 and like the other CM packs, is perhaps the highest performance most versatile, 'Big Pack' in the world. It's got it all: The CM hip-belt, The Bypass Harness, the Bayonet System, the strongest 7075-T6 frame, bomber construction.......it is one of the few packs on the market, if not the only pack ( along w/other CM packs ), that can carry 120 lb. loads the most effectively.

Dan McHale's personal record for training with an INEX, going around Seattle's 7 mile circumference Lake Union is 2 hours flat, carrying 120 lbs. He had to jog the last 1/4 mile to beat the Fremont Drawbridge.

Below: Rear bungy pocket that is convertable to Summit Sack. Pocket can also attach more simply to the main pack by attaching with the pockets compression straps only. The compression straps may also be used in conjunction with the bungy system.
